Material-led
Natural variation is not hidden. It is what makes each piece one of a kind.
THE STORY BEHIND THE CRAFT
DinoLeather began with a love for practical objects, inherited craft, and materials that become more personal with every day they are carried.
HOW IT STARTED
My own path into leatherwork started during the COVID pandemic, when I was looking for a creative outlet and finally decided to stop watching makers online and try the craft for myself.
But the connection had been there much longer. My grandmother was a skilled seamstress, and she taught me the basics of sewing. My aunt continued that tradition, and I learned by watching, helping, and paying attention to the small things that make handmade work feel right.
THE TOOLBOX
During a visit to my grandmother’s house, I found an old toolbox in the attic. It belonged to my grandfather, who worked with horses and made leather saddles and reins. I was only three when he passed away, so I never had the chance to learn from him directly.
Some of his tools are still with me today. They are a quiet connection to my family and a reminder that the best handmade work carries something beyond the material itself.
WHY PYTHON LEATHER
Florida is home to invasive pythons that harm the Everglades ecosystem. My flagship pieces use python leather, turning a material connected to that challenge into objects made to be used, kept, and appreciated for years.
No two skins are the same. The scales, markings, and natural variation make every wallet genuinely individual.
THE STANDARD
The goal is simple: make useful leather goods that age beautifully and feel more personal over time.
